2 Weeks Old

Clara is two weeks old today! We celebrated with a trip to the doctor this morning. She's gaining weight like a champ. She's now 5 lbs, 4 oz, up 11 oz. in a week! That makes us happy, because she's gaining weight so well and because the doctor said we can let her sleep longer than 3 hours at night now :-)

Here are a few photos from the weekend.

We're Home!

Clara got to come home on Saturday! The doctor came in on Saturday morning and asked us how we felt about going home. We asked how quickly we could leave! It was great to sleep in our own beds last night and get to settle in at home a little bit. Here are a few more pictures!
Ready to go!

Clara Elizabeth

Welcome to the world Clara Elizabeth! We are finally getting around to posting some photos of our little girl.

Born Monday morning at 7:19. She was 4 pounds 7 ounces and 17.25 inches. Low blood sugar right after she was born sent her to the NICU, and we have to stay a few extra days for some extra checks. She's been doing great since, just taking a little while to learn to eat and her blood sugar up. We had a good day today - praying it continues! Thanks for all your messages and support, we can't wait to get her home and show her off.

Getting Started

It's time for the Strouses to jump on the blogging bandwagon and join the fun! While our friends know Brad and I aren't big "sharers" we've got the perfect excuse to get started.

As most of you know who are reading, baby Strouse will be joining our family at the end the month (we hope!). To say we are excited is an understatement. We've loved our married-without-kids days, but we can't wait to start our family. I'm sure there will be many adventures to share.

Thanks for reading and hopefully this isn't the one and only blog post!
