We Love Fall

Fall is the best. We love Panther football games, the weather is great and there are lots of simple fun things to do. Fall flew by this year, as we were in wedding prep mode. But, we managed to enjoy a few traditional activities.

One chilly Saturday morning during Luke's nap, we helped Clara jump in the leaves in our front yard. She loved it! She caught on quickly and liked to help rake, jump in and hide things in the leaves to find later. There were a million chores we "should" have been working on that morning. But, it was wonderful to both spend some time with our little girl being silly. Next year we'll need to find some bigger piles!

We also visited another small pumpkin patch in Waterloo to pick out some carving pumpkins. Clara enjoyed counting all the pumpkins and Luke was along for the ride.

His cheeks get me every time...
While Brad was out of town later that weekend, the kids and I ventured to my parents' house to carve pumpkins. Or more accurately, watch my dad carve pumpkins at lightning speed. He's fast!

Our little Tigger and Winnie the Pooh had lots of fun on Halloween too. Clara loved to bounce in her costume, and was proud to have her Pooh bear with her. She thought trick-or-treating was awesome, and requested to go to more houses when we told her it was time to go home. She caught on quickly that she could grab two pieces of candy if she said one was for baby Luke!
