Before Clara turned two, Brad wanted to fly with her to visit his dad in Dallas. It worked out that both his siblings were headed down in June so they joined the trip!

Clara was really excited to fly! high! big air-pane! and loved having her own backpack full of new stickers, crayons and snacks. Their flight down went smoothly. They spent a few days having fun in grandpa Jerry's pool and spending time with her cousin Emmalyn who is just a few months older.
While they were there, they also visited the zoo. Clara loved seeing the animals and they had a great day exploring. She got to be really close to the lions and the giraffes.
Clara was a trooper the whole trip sleeping and eating in weird places and at weird times. She must have been tired though - she fell asleep on Brad on the plane ride home (something she never does!).
Luke and I were happy to see them when they got home!
