Mr. Luke is 6 Months

He’s known as “Baby Luke” or “Mr. Luke” at our house. At six months, he's still a very happy baby and rarely cries. My favorite moment on the weekends is when Clara and I go to get him up in the morning or from a nap. He spies us when we come in the room and has the biggest smile and bright eyes.

Luke is FINALLY transitioning away from an evening nap, which will mean we can do more in the evenings with both kids and get them both to sleep at a decent hour. Yep, he’s still sleeping away in his swing for night and naps. But, he’s sleeping great so we can’t complain. He won’t go to kindergarten sleeping in a swing right??

He is starting to move! He’ll roll to go get things once in awhile and will scoot around in a circle looking for his favorite toys. One of his favorite targets is Clara’s bright sandals. She does not appreciate it when he gets close to grabbing them! He is also sitting up by himself for a few minutes at a time, and doesn’t like it when we lay him down on his back. He loves to sit in his bumpo chair or bouncer seat and watch the action. He’s a drool machine, so he is usually sporting a bib.

He's just started solid food in the last few days. He is a MESS because he tries to grab the spoon the whole time. He gets a little fussy if he is sitting at the dinner table with us and he doesn't get to eat. He seems like a kid that’s really going to like food :)

He’s just over 15 pounds and 25 inches. On the smaller side of the growth chart, but he seems huge to us! He has the best chubby legs and belly. His hair has grown back in on the top of his head and sticks up in a little mohawk.

Luke loves to be carried in the front carrier for walks. Most nights, we take a walk and Luke takes his evening doze while we move. Mom doesn’t mind because she gets some Luke snuggles and a better workout!

Love him.
