Christmas 2013

Christmas flew by this year. Lots of family time packed into one week! We traveled to Des Moines for extended family get together both weekends surrounding Christmas, and had lots of fun on Christmas Eve and Day in Cedar Falls.

Christmas Eve we woke up to do our little family Christmas at our house. Last year, I remember thinking what a nice, quiet morning it was to spend with Clara. That's one of the small things that changes with two kids! It was still a nice morning, but not quiet :) Clara loved her stocking stuffers (her own "lip stuff" and art supplies), was jealous of Luke's (pacifiers) and they both liked the gifts we got them. It's easy when you have toddlers/babies - they are happy with a few small things.

We snuck in a quick Christmas breakfast before Luke's nap time. Clara loves eggs and sausage!

Best part about this photo: Luke yelling at Brad to hurry up and give him his eggs. No more photos!
After church, we headed to Brad's mom's house for Christmas Eve. It was a nice cozy evening. Clara and her cousin Emmalyn loved handing out presents and hanging out in their Christmas jammies.

After staying up late, we got up the next morning to head to the Daniels' house. We enjoyed pancakes for breakfast, gift opening and prime rib for lunch. We were all ready for a nap in the afternoon!

Our kids are very lucky to be surrounded by so many people that love them...they have plenty to play with this year!
